Our commitment to being PFAS-free.

You may have heard that across the global food packaging industry, PFAS chemicals have been detected in packaging products.

 If you’re not familiar with PFAS, it stands for Per- and Polyfluorinated Substances, which are human-made chemicals developed to help make materials heat, oil, stain, grease or water resistant. These chemicals are found in many things we use in our daily lives, like clothing, furniture, makeup, food, and even drinking water.

They're so widespread that they're often referred to as "everywhere chemicals." Scientists are studying these chemicals to understand how they might affect our health because we come into contact with them regularly.

Here at decent, we value transparency, and we have never intentionally added PFAS to our products, nor has PFAS been detected in any of our products sold in the EU. We recognise the need to ensure these “forever chemicals” do not exist in our products, both for the safety of our people, and the environment. We conduct regular testing to ensure our full range is PFAS-free.
